Nanny Duties

Nanny duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • The safety and well being of the child/children
  • Plan and provided age appropriate activities
  • Read books, daily
  • Children’s laundry, may or may not include bed linens
  • Children’s rooms tidy/organized
  • Children’s snacks and meals
  • Maintenance of, cleaning and care of children’s belongings (highchair, crib, toys, stroller, etc)
  • Maintain a daily log and or daily communication with parents concerning children
  • Plan and carry out play dates
  • Light household duties: loading/unloading dishwasher, take out trash/recycles/diaper pail
  • Errands are considered extra, it depends on the nanny as to whether they are open to running the family’s errands, grocery shop or pick up dry cleaning
